Alkali Metals consist of Lithium, Sodium, Potassium, Rubidium, Cesium, and Francium. They are located in group 1 of the periodic table. They act very violently with water. Lithium is used in prescriptions, sodium is used in table salt, potassium is found in bananas, rubidium is used in vacuum tubes, cesium is used in atomic clocks, and francium has no use besides basic science research.
Lithium

Sodium
Sodium is used in street lights and also produces a brilliant yellow light. Sodium can also form useful compounds; salt, baking soda, borax, etc.
Potassium
Potassium is found in bananas. It's also used in fertilizers and a salt substitute. It can be combined with hydroxide and make soaps, detergents, and drain cleaners.
