Presenters
Today, we have Barbara Porter coming to share artifacts and information from two other Asian countries. Learning from others who have personal experience has made more of an impression than just researching and reading information.
Thank you Gloria Leal, Ankita Bant, and Barbara Porter for sharing with us.
How about you? Let me know if you would like to come and do a special lesson on an Asian country, European Country, or on Australia. We will have more time in late April and early May for "guest teachers."

- Please make sure you do not plan any appointments in the mornings on Monday-Thursday, 17th-20th for your child.
- Provide a healthy-high protein, low sugar breakfast and a calm atmosphere during the morning routine at home.
- Encourage your child to do his or her best and let him/her know how awesome you think he/she is.
Snacks are important this week. I will be sending a request home with your child to provide an item we can use for snacks testing week.
Spring Fling
The Calk Walk will be fun and easy. The middle and high school students will be bringing in the store bought goodies for the prizes. All we have to do is take tickets, play the music, monitor the "walkers" and hand out sweets. Please sign up.http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080c4da5aa2da2fa7-3rdgrade
AR News
In late April, a special book report will be assigned and then due in May. More details are to come. What you and your child need to know now is that the book report will need to done on a chapter book. You may want to remind your child to choose a chapter book that can provide AR points now and also double as their book report book later. (They can not choose The One and Only Ivan for their book report book.) Graphic Novels are acceptable if they are written in chapters.
