Math Journals
We introduced math journals this week. On Monday, we began collecting data and analyzing it. Learners completed a t-graph by asking their friends a question. They added the totals, writing math sentences. They graphed the data collected, compared the numerals, and put into words. We will continued this process, increasing the difficulty and covering our math standards.
Poetry Journals
This week, we started packing our poetry journals. We started off reading Hickety-Tickety-Bumbleebee and our friends names. Each week, we will add new poems. This will help us reading sight words, blending, and repetitive text. These will also come home occasionally for celebration.
I wonder what happened with the seeds we planted...
We planted into cotton balls. We were able to see the seeds burst open and a sprout come out. We were also able to seed roots growing to the bottom of the cup. Next week, we will plant them in soil.
