Cheers to a New Year!
Marc & Medina's 2013 Recap
Hello from Durham, with Love |
We loved 2013 and characterize it as being full of lots of new things. Because we got married in June, our first family newsletter is mostly about what happens when two people come together: milestones and adventures.
We call Durham, NC home and have made friends with a group of people at City Well Church, enjoyed the food and beer scene, and thrown ourselves into the flourishing entrepreneurial community. Marc is consulting on a web enabled lighting experience for hospital patients, was a panelist for discussions on project management in his industry, and guest lectured at UNC Chapel Hill. His lecture is titled "Story Telling on the Web: Building Brands int he 21st Century." Medina has spent her time creating and designing a non-profit called Project Hello World, an organization that teaches low-income people how to code and places them in high-growth jobs with a network of hiring partners.
Thank you for being a friend to us in 2013. Cheers to a lovely new year of adventures. Love, Marc and Medina

Family Values & Beliefs |
In true Medina-Marc fashion, we decided to agree on a set of family values and beliefs. Because our family consists of two people and one God, our beliefs and values revolve around those relationships. So, here goes:
Our family believes in the Power of the Holy Spirit to Intercede in our attempt to live our values, we believe in the Purposes of Marriage as opportunities to love and grow closer to seeing the face of God, and we believe in the Holy Covenant of Our Vows to each other and between us and our God.
Our family values truth, love and grace in marriage (and all our relationships): "In all humility with truth, love and grace, we should be able to say to our spouse, I see your sin but cover it with forgiveness because Jesus saw my sin and covered it."
