Organizational Structure (New/Important)
Student Attendance: Attendance must be taken every day. The first 15 minutes of every class. Click Here for AP5113 Attendance Policy. Remember here at OHHS- ATTENDANCE MATTERS!!!!
Click Here for AP5121.3 Grading and Reporting Updates and Here for AP5116 Grade Change Updates. Please ensure that you are adhering to the NEW policy!!
Lesson Planning: Preparing to deliver quality bell to bell instruction begins with adequately planning. In order to ensure that this is occurring, we require that there is an electronic copy of your lesson plan to be provided to administration upon request. More information is forthcoming in Department Meetings.
Attendance/Leave Procedures: Below you will find the daily sign-in link. Please be sure to complete the required google form each morning no later than 9:00 am. This task is very important as it verifies your attendance. If you are going to be absent at any time (half day or whole day), please be sure to place leave in Oracle in a timely manner so that a substitute can be provided for your class. This process will be monitored daily by Ms. Holland and Mr. Powell. Feel free to contact either of us with any questions/concerns. Thank you!! Please also ensure that you adhere to the leave procedures below.
Sick Leave: Must be requested in Oracle. (Note: You must furnish a physician's note after being absent 3 consecutive sick days or more. You may not begin work until the note has been received by administration). Ms. Holland may not approve more than 10 days of absence. If you know that you will be absent more than 10 days you must make communication with the Absence Management Department for further information.
Personal Leave: Must be requested at least 24 hours before absence. Leave not requested prior to the 24 hours will be rejected. You may select a different type of leave. If an alternative leave is not requested it is leave without pay until it is entered in Oracle.
Bereavement Leave: Must be requested in Oracle. In the comment section you must state the person's relationship to you for approval.
Jury Duty: Must be entered in Oracle. A copy of the jury duty notice must be scanned for approval.
Maternity/Paternity Leave: Must be requested through Absence Management prior to first day out.
Sub Coverage Pay: Must be entered daily as you receive coverage on the 2022-2023 Coverage Form furnished by Mr. Powell. ALL Coverage for the week is due by 2:00 pm on Friday. Failure to submit coverage on time will result in late processed pay. Please be advised that once late pay has been received by the payroll specialist they have up to 2 pay periods to process your pay. To avoid late payment it is best practice to submit your coverage form when you receive your coverage for the day. We thank you for your cooperation and support.
Duty Posts
In an effort to provide a safe environment for students, each member will have a 20 minute duty assignment. This is an investment in our school climate that has proven to make a world difference as it relates to maintaining a safe and orderly environment. We ask that each of you make the commitment to serving your duty daily unless you have an assigned collaborative planning/teacher coverage to attend during that time. During your assignment, we ask that you interact with students that you find “out of place” in the school community by asking for a pass and directing them to their classroom or grade level administrator if they are unable to produce one. Please adhere to your time and location, feel free to see administration for questions or concerns. Thank you for your support!!!
