The Amarillo Symphony
Classical Concert Series
An evening of Classical tradition
Join us on Thursday night September 18th for a stop on the Amarillo Symphony's Classical Concert Series tour, right here in Harral Auditorium. This tour has included selections from composers such as Beethoven, Scarlatti, and Clementi, and has featured soloists such as Adam Ben Ezra and Richard Fountain. The selection for this evening of music is Haydn's sixth symphony, which is a fully orchestrated symphony that features the familiar tradition of the concerto grosso, and extensive solo passages for the woodwind, horn, and string sections, along with the double bass and bassoon. This beautiful work accents virtually every player in the orchestra.
