Piracy News and Reminders
- Our first week of school has been a great start to the school year! It takes all of us to make the school start a success. Let's keep this momentum.
- Homecoming 2022 is almost here:
- Homecoming parade and pep rally will be on Wednesday, September 28. Parade starts at 6 PM, with a community pep rally afterwards until 7:30.
- Homecoming ceremony will be held on Friday, September 30 at 6:30 PM.
- Homecoming dance will be held after the football game on Friday, September 30 until 11:30. Admission $5.

- Breakfast and lunch are no longer FREE from the state. Free or reduced-price lunch forms can be obtained in the front office.
- Please check into the front office anytime you are visiting the school.
- Students parking on campus. All vehicles must be registered with the high school office annually.
- An application for a parking permit outlining the driving regulations must be signed by the student and parent and be on file in the office.
- A fee of five dollars ($5.00) is required to secure a parking permit for each vehicle, and is valid as long as the student drives that vehicle.

- Communication is important for a successful school year. Please make sure to update your contact information through the PowerSchool Parent Portal if there have been changes. Contact the high school office if you are having trouble with your account. Fees may hinder your ability to access PowerSchool.

Athletic Campaign
- The Cardington-Lincoln athletics are off and running, with many of our Cross-Country runners setting season and personal best with each weekend.
- Our Football team rushed to their first victory against Crestline.
- Volleyball is off to a fast start with an 8-2 record and a runner-up finish in the Pirate Invite.
- The Golf team has hit the course swinging as they build up experience and endurance heading into their post season play this month.

Guidance News
- CCP courses cannot be monitored by the school per college and university policies. Please touch base with your student to make sure they are progressing successfully before it's too late.
CCP at Cardington - Any student that is currently taking a CCP course at Cardington and would need to drop it, has to be completed by Monday, September 12th to not affect their grade and potential fees for the course.
MTC College Fair - MTC will be hosting a college fair on Friday, September 30th. In the past we have taken a bus full of seniors and it's a great way to talk to college representatives about new and exciting programs and opportunities.
Big Brother Big Sisters - BBBS of Central Ohio is back for another school year and is looking for "Big" at the high school level. More information to come and if interested in becoming a "Big" stop by guidance to get a head start.
- Our 9th grade students are visiting MVNU on October 4th to learn about higher learning education options.
- Tri-Rivers will be visiting out campus to share their learning opportunities for our 10th grade students. There are over 15 career pathway opportunities.
- Please make sure to keep updated on student grades through the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

News from the Quarterdeck
- Did you know that parents can get access to each of their students' Google classrooms? Please contact each teacher for this important information.
- Each high school class cohort has a google classroom for important information targeted for each grade level. Students need to check this regularly so they can stay informed.
- Jostens will be on campus on September 14th to meet with seniors about graduation packages and sophomores about class ring opportunities.
The Cardington-Lincoln High School Band performed at the fair on 9/1/22, 7pm.
