Tumuaki Korero
Tēnā koutou
A HUGE thank you to everyone who attended and supported our annual SCS Matariki Community Celebration & Breakfast. It was wonderful to be able to have everyone on site and to catch up in person. Something we've been missing over the last wee while in these COVID times.
Next week your child's report information will be shared. Reading, writing and mathematics progress and next steps will be shared via Hero, and Seesaw will be used to share information on our Awa focus in Hauora - Taha Hinengaro - Mental & Emotional Health. Please check with the office if you need any support accessing these.
We will have Learning Conferences at the start of next term, on Tuesday and Wednesday. These conferences are for whānau, the classroom teacher and your child to attend. Please indicate your most suitable time in the survey shared via Hero and we will confirm the time and date before the end of the term.
We farewell Inga Parsons from her release position at the end of this term. Inga has been a valued member of our staff and we will miss her and her energy. Inga has secured a position outside education and we wish her all the best for this new challenge.
We are fortunate to have Melissa Bryant step into the relieving position from next term. Melissa has been relieving across the school. We're excited to have her on board.
Next term, Cheryl Alderlieste will be Acting Principal for the term, while I'm on sabbatical for the term. I was successful in being granted one of the allocated principal sabbaticals across the country to enable me to undertake professional learning, reflection and rejuvenation. I know the school will be in great hands with Cheryl at the helm and I will see you again at the start of Term 4.
Ngā mihi
