Important Elective Course Information!
Attention parents and guardians of 6th and 7th grade students :
The time has come for your student to select the elective courses they are interested in taking for the 24-25 school year. All students received an elective selection form and class explanation sheet with their report cards on Friday. Please look over the documents with your student and help them to make the appropriate selections. There is also a section about Family Life Education. This program is parent choice and there are three options for the parent to pick. It is very important that the parent signature line is signed and the elective form is returned to your student's homeroom teacher by 4/18.
Please reach out to the counselors with any questions.

Weather Balloons with Young Scientist Academy
This week our Young Scientist Academy Scholars learned about weather balloons. They checked the local weather to decide which day the jet stream would be best for flying in hopes of relocating the balloon post-flight. They also participated in a demonstration outside with slingshots. Students were also invited to watch a real weather balloon take flight this weekend.
Purple Up! For Military Kids
Williston Middle School will be honoring military children and their families on Monday April 15th.
- ‘Purple Up! For Military Kids’- Wear purple to show support and thank military children for their strength and sacrifices. (Purple combines each branch's colors into one: the Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard all use shades of blue, the Army uses green, and the Marines use red.)
“We acknowledge that our military children must adapt and overcome the hardships of transitioning due to the multiple moves they must make while serving alongside their families. The month of April is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their strength, courage, and resiliency, as well as to show our deep appreciation for their sacrifices. Thank you all who have served in our military, who have a family member that is serving currently, or those who have retired members of the military in their family.”
