2014-2015 Exhibition Update
Our Wellness: Ringing the Well Bell!
Week 3 Update
Greetings from 5M, 5P, and 5S Classrooms!
As we are approaching the end of our Phase II, Research, we are making steady progress towards gathering all the resources we need to answer our lines of inquiry. This week, we:
- Shifted from identifying 2-3 text-based and 1 non-text base resources to reading, taking notes, and beginning to synthesize our research,
- Refined, in some cases reworded, our lines of inquiry,
- Started forming interview or survey questions to augment what we have, or to support what we researched, or to fill in some unanswered questions,
- Met with our mentors, gained further insight and clarified areas that needed another set of eyes, and
- Remembered to focus in on the PROCESS, and reflect on how it's going.
Collaborate
Students work together, using a number of tools offered by our school and our District.
Balanced
Students build on their appreciation of the importance in balancing different aspects of their lives- intellectual, physical, and emotional.
Caring
As researchers, students demonstrate empathy, compassion, and respect for their fellow researchers.

How can I support what's going on in the classroom?
Tip 1: Support growth and development of ideas by asking your child to explain their thinking about their line of inquiry.
Tip 2: Provide tips and tools for organization, and share experiences.
Tip 3: Help troubleshoot any issues that your child might be having with the process.
