Paper Towns
John Green
Summary
Quentin "Q" Jacobsen is a stereotypical boy who is apart of the school band and has a crush on a girl that way out of his league who just happens to live across the street from him. Margo Roth Spiegelman is a not so stereotypical popular pretty girl. One night Margo sneaks into Q's window dressed in all black and wearing black face paint. Margo asks Q to join her on her quest for revenge on all who has wronged them during high school. He joins and the night is truly memorable for him, when he gets back to his house at three am he goes to bed thinking about what he'll say to Margo in the morning. But, he never gets a chance. Margo, always a mystery, has run away from home seemingly without a trace but, she has left clues for Q. As if she was saying "Come and find me".
Fall Out Boy - Thanks For The Memories lyrics with song
Relating to Music
I believe that the song Thnks Fr Th Mmrs by Fall Out Boy relates to this books because of the character Margo and her relation to the town and all the people in it. She is leaving the town with a bit of guilt because of all the good times shes had there but the bad out weighs the good in this situation. So this song represents her saying good bye to her home town. The line that Margo relates to the most is "Thanks for the memories, Even though they weren't so great". She relates to it the most beacuse the thing that lead her to fleeing so quickly is the fact that her boyfriend was cheating on her with her "best friend".

John Green is More than an Author
John Green is an author of many best selling books, An Abundance of Katherines, The Fault in our Stars, Paper Towns, and my personal favorite, Looking for Alaska. But, John Green is not just an uptight author who writes about teenage trauma, love stories, and finding yourself, he is actually one half of a very famous YouTube account. The vlogbrothers is John Green's and his brother, Hank Green's YouTube channel. The vlogbrothers is an educational and comical channel. It currently has over 2.5 million subscribers and it's still gaining. The YouTube account covers topics of politics to religion, but it also has challenges, rants, jokes, fandoms, and punishment videos which are all quite funny.

Book Reviews
“Green’s prose is astounding — from hilarious, hyperintellectual trash talk and shtick, to complex philosophizing, to devastating observation and truths. He nails it–exactly how a thing feels, looks, affects–page after page.”

“A suspenseful mystery, a compelling central metaphor, and one of those road trips that every senior hopes he or she will have round out this exploration of the kind of relationship that can’t help but teach us a little bit about ourselves.”

“A powerfully great read.”

Paper Towns | Official Trailer [HD] | 20th Century FOX
Theme
This clip relates to the book because it is the trailer for the movie. I am honestly excited for this movie considering how well the Fault in Our Stars was adapted. The movies are both directed by different directors, but John Green rides shot gun and makes some of the major decisions in the movie just as he did for The Fault in Our Stars. The trailer is really well adapted and it shows major plot points without spoiling anything. I can't wait to see this movie the day it come out.
My Personal Reccomendation
I honestly do not believe any of John Greens books should be written off as just another love story for girls because they are not. Three out of the four books he has written has been from a male perspective. Also a lot of the books main lessons aren't about falling in love they are about finding yourself and living in the moment. Out of all his books though I would most likely recommend Paper Towns to a male audience. This book is hilarious at times and it is a great coming of age story for both girls and boys.
