Malnutrition in Haiti
By: Lily Sanfrey
The Problem
Haiti is having many economic issues due to earthquakes and other natural disasters. Poverty is also a part of this because people don't have enough jobs, and money, which leads to not as much food. It is causing children to be unhealthy and underweight. Some people are even struggling just to have roofs under their heads, and are working hard to fix this problem.

In the picture below, it shows where most of Haiti's earthquakes take place. These earthquakes are very strong and can spread through almost all of Haiti! Underground, The earthquakes can ruin the crops. They also ruin people's homes, jobs, and money. Also most of them have to live in tents for a long time.

In the picture below, it shows what these disasters can do to the world. People are devastated for losing there homes, and jobs, and money, also most food. and they are going to have to live in tiny tents probably for a long time. Which means cold winters, and also in the winter, very few to almost no crops. People will need to work very hard to fix this economic issue.
The solutions
Some places are saying that Haiti does not have to pay their dues because they need that money so much. It can help them a lot on rebuilding the community. Children and adults in Haiti are way behind on nutrition. There are many people that are trying to help rebuild Haiti and start the new economy. And when the next earthquake comes, they'll be more prepared.
Solutions Picture
In the picture below, it shows people growing crops for the economy. They have been working very hard and starting to rebuild parts. With more help, the economy's strength will keep on growing. Less people are having malnutrition due to the hard work and progress.
Solutions Picture
In the picture below, it shows many people working to rebuild the community. They are getting more money back to work and fight poverty, and more people are getting jobs, and money back. Some people still do have to live in tents, bur many more have homes. And soon the majority will have homes. Still many people do have malnutrition because its hard to get back to the proper nutritions and they still have work to do, but they have made a lot of progress.
