Spring Break Reminders
As we enjoy our time out of school for spring break we can continue to support our learning in the following ways.
Reading: Maples should be reading or be read to for at least 20 minutes a night. Asking questions about the problem in the story, what is important in the story and how characters change can be a great way to enrich the experience and bolster reading comprehension.
Writing: If possible ask your Maple to write a review of an activity or a short journal like entry of what they did on one of their days off.
Math: This is a great time to practice skip counting (by 2's, 5's and 10's) during day to day activities. Story problems involving objects that you encounter during your day will also help support their problem solving strategies.
