What is Mrs. Garver Reading?
This week, I read Home of the Brave by Katherine Applegate. (She's the author of The One and Only Ivan.) It is a great follow-up to A Long Walk to Water because it is the story of a refugee family from Sudan that starts with their arrival in Minnesota. The book is written in poetry, so it is a quick read.
