If Your Student is Absent From School:
A parent or guardian must call 262-692-2453, Ext. 400, to report the absence. Voicemail messages may be left 24 hours a day.
- For your student’s safety, non-reported absences will be followed up by a call home made by school office personnel.
- In order to participate in a game, event or practice, the student must be in school for the entire school day, unless excused in advance by the principal.
Illness During the School Day
Students who become ill during the school day are to report to the high school office.A health room is available in the office for use by students.A student will be allowed 20 minutes in the health room. After 20 minutes the student will be required to return to class or be sent home with parent/guardian permission. Students should not call home to be picked up without first reporting to the office.

Family Nature Club is a free offering to our community designed for kids, teens, and their families.
All ages are welcome!
We facilitate outdoor, environmental-education based experiences for families to enjoy together.
This is led by Riveredge Nature Center Environmental Educators and the Riveredge Scientist in Residence at Northern Ozaukee School District.
This program is free to attend, but donations are greatly appreciated!

NOSD Pollinator Prairie @ Northern Ozaukee School District in Fredonia, WI (directions below)
Join us as we hike around the Northern Ozaukee School District (NOSD) School Pollinator Prairie that was planted June 2023, a little over ½ mile. What species will be up this spring? Did you know it takes 3 years for a prairie to establish? Seeds/plants are establishing root systems for the 1st few years. Through game(s) we will explore with seeds and plants. This path is grass and stroller friendly.

🎣🐟🐠Fishing Fun at Ridge Run!🎣🐟🐠
Tuesday, May 21 @ 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Ridge Run Park Central @ 300 S University Dr, West Bend, WI 53095
Spend the afternoon on the banks of Wells Lake in Ridge Run Park with a pole in your hand and hopefully a few bites on your line! Learn how to tie on a hook, bait your hook, and safely cast your line into the water. We will try to catch and identify each fish before releasing them back into their home.
We’ll bring some poles and bait for folks to use – or bring your own. Fishing license required for adults. Baits and poles will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This space is stroller friendly!
**Follow the drive past the first playset and down the hill to the large parking lot. We will meet at the Lakeside Shelter on Wells Lake on the east side of the parking lot. See Insert 'A' which shows the meet up Area

Health Concerns/Medication Updates
Any health or medication changes contact the OHS office. If medication will be administered at school you must fill out an Authorization for Prescription Medication Form. Remember to get a physician signature on that form. It is required before any medication can be dispersed.
Health Reminders
Students should stay home when they have: Fever – greater than 100.4° F. Return to school 24 hours after fever has resolved without the use of fever reducing medication (Tylenol, Ibuprofen) Vomiting and/or diarrhea – Return 24 hours after the last occurrence.
Rash – with fever or that is open and draining.
Contagious Disease (“strep” throat, impetigo, scabies, ringworm, bacterial pink eye) - Return 24 hours after antibiotic treatment has started.
