Ramadan Mubarak
It is that time of the year again where Muslims and some Non-Muslims will observe the auspicious month of Ramadan. The first day of fasting will be Monday 11th March. There are many students at CVHS that observe this month.
The month is not just about abstaining from food and water during daylight hours, but also increase generosity by giving to the needy. It's also a month to reflect, pray, appreciate, become less selfish as there are many many people around the world that have very little to nothing such as shelter, food and clothing, and yet they still go on, surviving.
🔴 Comic Relief 2024 🔴
On Friday 15th March it will be a non-uniform day for students with the theme of wearing something red to celebrate this year's Red Nose Day.
Wisepay will be open to make donations to Comic Relief. Alternatively cash can be handed into Form Tutors on the day.
More information will be delivered during Form nearer the time.
Spring Term Technology Competition
To celebrate a year of the ground-breaking INEOS Go Humans Academy masterclass series, a competition is open to all UK students aged 11 - 18 to design a helmet for Sir Lewis Hamilton.
To be in with a chance of your helmet design being photographed with Lewis at a 2024 Grand Prix event, as well as exclusive F1-signed merchandise and experiences, use the template to let your creativity and imagination run wild. The judges will be looking for designs that celebrate and promote a sense of inclusion.
If you would like to take part, all entries must be handed to the Technology Department by Friday 22nd March to allow us to submit them to the competition on your behalf. Your name & tutor group must be written on the back (not the front) of your sheet. The template sheets will be sent out via Satchel One.
All entries will receive merits.
FAME Jr
Here is next week's rehearsal schedule. It is important that it is checked carefully so that your child knows when they are needed. This week we had a lot of absences without any notice. If your child no longer wishes to be in the show, please let us know so their name can be removed from the register. You can e-mail us, or your child can speak to one of the drama or music team. Of course, we want as many students as possible to be involved but commitment is essential for us to be able to run rehearsals properly. Thanks.
