Owl Notes
MAY 11
INFORMATION ... Updates from the district
*School Updates - We will still be on 25% for this week. Once we get the go ahead, we will move to 50% and a new sign up sheet for those wanting to come work in their rooms. Again, please remember that we are asking you to wear your mask when you in and about in the school. If you are working in your room with your door shut and want to take it off, that's fine, just don't mix with anyone without your mask on. We are asking that you still avoid making copies so that we can preserve the machine to hopefully make it through the final packets.
*Awards - Jeanie is ready to start printing awards. If you will follow please send her your class list, with the name each child would want on their certificate, she will start printing. Don't just copy and paste as someone might go by a different first or last name.
* Lisa McGarrah training - this will be our last week with Lisa for Thursday training. Please keep in mind that she has been and will be helping us shift our focus to next year and how we are going to integrate more technology into the classroom. IF your grade wants to meet with her the last two weeks, she will be happy to accommodate, it is just not required.
*Team leaders will be talking Monday about end of year activities. If you have any great ideas for students, staff, etc...please communicate with team leaders by our meeting tomorrow.
* Staff updates - Things are happening super fast now and I'm not sure how else to keep everyone informed. Marcy Marcum was offered a job at Galatas Elementary and will be joining that staff next year. We will miss you!
* Zoom etiquette - I know that we have covered this, but I want to remind you...When you are on a Zoom, especially in a small group, please show your face, interact positively with your teammates, limit your texting. These are just items of respect and in my personal opinion, things you would expect from your students so we should act accordingly.
*Next year - Map will be released soon. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. I am doing the best that I can. If you are moving rooms, you have been contacted and I appreciate your willingness to understand the growing pains and need to move. Boxes will be delivered soon and if you want to box and put your new room number on the side of the box, custodial will move it in July. Otherwise, you are welcome to work with the person where you are moving to coordinate the move. Please be patient as some of us move at a slower pace than others.
*Master Schedule - I will be meeting with those who have volunteered to work on the Master Schedule within the next week to finalize it for the 2020-21 school year. Remember that we are adding PK and we have to have a specials time for them.
