Progress
- Finalized plans with Literacy Committee for our reading celebration April 29th.
- Meeting with fourth grade teacher to discuss goals for next year as she moves to fifth grade was moved to after testing.
- Finalized plans for Thursday's PLC.
- Modeled and co-taught test-prep for SC ready Writing in two third grade classrooms.
- Hosted coaches' PLC on Thursday. We observed a kindergarten and second grade class during writing and ELA.
- Set up times for lesson observations on Monday, April 25th.
- Continued working in literacy room.
- Spoke with testing coordinator to release in-district students for DRA2 assessments. Spoke with Attendance Personnel to gather state id numbers for out-of-state students for DRA2 assessments.
Plan
- Conduct classroom walk-throughs with Jennifer Brown (Literacy Specialist). Meet with principal to discuss "noticings".
- Tues.-Thurs. help with SC Ready testing.
- Prepare for Friday's Reading Celebration.
- Attend faculty meeting on Monday.
- Work with Literacy Committee Wednesday and Thursday for final Reading Celebration preparations.
- Attend a Learning Progressions Skype meeting on Thursday.
- Work in literacy room.
- On Friday, Celebrate Reading!!
- Attend early release meeting on Friday.
Praise
- Our coaches' PLC was a huge success! The teachers we observed did a fantastic job, as well as their kiddos. I appreciate the teachers willingness to learn and grow from this experience.
- The Literacy Committee has worked hard to make our end-of-year reading celebration a huge success for the students. I greatly appreciate their ideas and efforts to help our kids celebrate all of the reading they have done this year.
Potential Speed Bumps (not really problems)
