Scholarship Deadlines for Seniors!
Looking for $$$$ to help pay for college?! Check out the LHS Scholarships & Financial Aid Database. There are many scholarship deadlines quickly approaching, so take the time to complete the applications before it's too late!
Attention lady ships! There has been a date change for the powderpuff football tournament. The games will now be held on Saturday, May 4th starting at 6 PM. Sign up in your shipyards to represent your class's team! Boys if you have an interest in coaching your class football team you may also sign up in the form as well to claim your coaching spot!
Big Brothers Big Sisters
Calling all sophomores and juniors who want to make a difference: Big Brothers Big Sisters is once again looking for high school "Bigs" for next school year. As a "Big" you would meet with your "Little" once a week at their school to play games, read books, and just be a friend. This is a wonderful and rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child in our community!! If you are interested, sign up for WIN with Mrs. Heuvelman on April 18th for an informational session. Otherwise, scan the QR code to start your application!
John Ricke Memorial T-shirts
Due to continued interest in John Ricke Memorial Scholarship T-Shirts, the Student Senate has reopened the online store through Earth Day, April 22nd!
All proceeds will fund a scholarship for LHS students pursuing careers in Environmental Science, Conservation, and related fields - disciplines that the late John Ricke held a deep love and passion for.
LHS Students will have the opportunity to apply for this scholarship, annually, beginning in the 2024-25 Academic Year!

WIOA National Farmworker Jobs Program
Are you a farmworker or member of a farmworker family? You may qualify for FREE education and job training with the National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP)! You do not need to be going to school for Agriculture. Click below to learn more, or complete this eligibility questionnaire to see if you qualify!
Highlights of the program:
- Up to $7,500 tuition funds
- Up to $1,500 supportive services (gas cards, food cards, lodging support, supplies, books, etc)
- Stipend: $7.25/hour up to 30 hours a week for every hour in approved training/classes
- Case Management/Career Counseling
World Affairs Seminar

HSHS St. Vincent Hospital Healthcare Bootcamps!
HSHS St. Vincent Hospital will be holding two healthcare bootcamps this summer! This will allow students to explore different careers within the hospital, talk with area colleges, and make new connections!
The first bootcamp will be on July 10th from 8:00am - 3:30pm, students can apply here!
The second one will be on August 28th from 8:00am-3:30pm, students can apply here!

Community Service Hours - Graduation Requirement!
All LHS students are required to complete 20 hours of community service as a graduation requirement. Seniors, your completed community service verification forms are due to the main office by Friday, May 10. If you need some help getting started or are looking for ideas on where to volunteer, click the "Volunteer Opportunities" button below or see your school counselor.

-Academic and Career Planning (ACP)-
ACP in Homeroom
The first Monday of the month students have Academic and Career Planning (ACP) lessons in Homeroom. All previous lessons can be accessed and are completed in XELLO. Families are encouraged to ask their students about these monthly lessons and use these valuable resources as they have discussions and prepare for life after high school.

- Learn about dental health programs including dentist, dental hygienist, dental assistant, and lab tech -- in this one-day workshop.
- This event is on a no-school day and students are responsible for their own transportation.

High School Musical Theater Program Honorable Mention!
Jackie Dramm is one of the recipients of Honorable Mention in a Lead Roll as part of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center’s Center Stage High School Musical Theater Program! She is one of only 10 students from the participating schools to receive this award.
Jackie will receive her award as part of the Center Center Stage High School Musical Showcase on May 18th. The Showcase is an evening of performances and recognition - honoring students and educators who have experienced life-changing moments in the past year through this program.
FCCLA State Leadership Conference!
Manitowoc Lincoln FCCLA did a fabulous job at the State Leadership Conference, earning many high honors.
Laci Kitzmann came home with a first Gold medal in the Job Interview STAR event, earning her the right to compete at the national competition this summer. She also earned the Outstanding Member award for her dedication to her chapter.
Anna Kakatsch and Alivia Kuehnel both earned a gold medal in the Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation STAR event and are considered national alternates for nationals.
Laci Kitzmann and Christina Ferguson were also recognized for their work as Regional Representatives.
Mrs. Grodek was also recognized for earning the FCCLA Master Adviser award.
