Darwin is a laid back, tropical city, and is the capital of Australia's Northern Territory. Theres so many things you can do in Darwin. You could visit the Kakadu National Park, you could visit the sacred, sandstone monolith of Uluru, Alice Springs, Kings Canyon, Finke Gorge National Park, or the MacDonnell Ranges. You can do so many things in Darwim, or you could just kick back and spend the day at the beach.
Litchfield National Park
Only an hour and a half drive from Darwin, this national park is full of wildlife, plunge pools, and waterfalls. You can swim in the crystal-clear swimming hole at the bottom of Florence Falls, or picnic with the fruit bats. You could even take a cruise on the Reynolds River.
The Ghan
Take a ride on one of the world's greatest train journeys. See the lush, green, landscape turn into the dry, inhabitable "Red Centre" and finally back into the wondrous tropical Top End.
Darwin's Waterfront
Darwin's Waterfront Eat freshly, just caught, seafood, shop at some of the many shops, swim in a lagoon, or fish. There is so much you can do on Darwin's waterfront. You could look back at some of Darwin's history by walking along the walking trails, or taking in the magnificent public artwork.
