Summary
Thurgood Marshall was an African-American who fought for civil rights for other black men. He was a man who fought through the court formally instead of through gatherings. Thurgood Marshall was the real reason most results were seen by the people. He was born on July 2, 1908 and had a rough young life. His brother and father would argue almost every day of the week, but that taught him good arguing skills. this made him a very good lawyer. He went to Baltimore Colored High before moving on to Linden University. He later applied to the University of Maryland but was rejected so he went to Howard University. Once out of school Thurgood started pushing for civil rights. He fought through the court. His Biggest achievement was when he overruled the Plessy v. Ferguson case. This made segregation illegal and most of the movements made during the civil rights period was because of him.
