3A: A Week at a Glance
week ending October 12, 2018
A Note from Mrs. Adams
Thank you for taking the time to visit 3A this week. Many of you got to see what an exploration activity looks like in our Everyday Math program. Explorations are always very exciting for the kids, because they get to do hands on activities and move from station to station. Their enthusiasm was evident as they completed the different activities. We also did a fun word choice activity in writing, a retelling strategy in reading, word sorts in spelling, and a word of the month activity for respect. These bits and pieces that you saw are a true representation of what it is like in 3A. I hope your children are enjoying third grade as much as I'm enjoying teaching them!
Video Making Contest
I read about an awesome video making contest where you could win $500 and a GoPro! Plus, winners also get to choose a teacher that will win $500 to use on school supplies. I would love to buy more iPads for the classroom, so this would help with the cost of 2 (older) iPads! Please have your child consider submitting a video!! It could be fun!!!
Items Needed for our Scarecrow
Please take a minute to check the signupgenius site. There may be things you have laying around the house that we could use for our scarecrows! Thanks in advance for your donations!
