Connecticut Writing Project
The Connecticut Writing Project (CWP) sponsors Connecticut Student Writers, a magazine established in 1987 by the CWP to honor excellence in writing by students from kindergarten through high school.
This year, thirteen students from JWMS submitted original work to the contest.
Alivia Crawford, Madelyn Visser, Carmela Balducci, Shubhada Solkar, Katie Klimas, Gabriella Sabatino, Madison Romano, Luna Verano-Ramirez, Norah Branda, Camryn Crawford, Nora Klatt, Paige Holloran, and Kaela Bartenstein.
We are proud of these young writers for taking a positive risk by submitting their work for evaluation!.
Two students of our students will be honored at Jorgensen Auditorium as part of the Student Recognition Night in May.
Luna Venero-Ramirez: Honorable Mention
Madelyn Visser: Silver Award
Congratulations to our students!
