Thank you Idle Wild Church!
This past weekend, volunteers from Idle Wild Church dedicated six hours of their time to support our custodial staff with the beautification of our school. Cypress Creek Middle School is very grateful for the time, hard work, and willingness to help others that this group of volunteers devoted to our school. THANK YOU!
Take Your Child to Work Day
Though the official national celebration is on April 25, 2024, Pasco Schools will recognize the event on April 26, 2024, as to limit the impact on required testing.
Site administrators will determine if students can miss school to accompany their parents to work and if employees will be permitted to bring their school-age children with them. The recommended age for participation is children from 3rd to 8th grade; children under five are deemed too young for the workplace. Ultimately, the site administrator will make the final decision regarding the suitability of the child’s age for the workplace.
With this in mind, the district will use the same process used in the past:
- Parents who wish to take their daughter or son out of school to participate in the event must arrange the student’s absence with the principal and teacher(s).
- District employees who plan to bring their child to work on Friday, April 26, 2024, need to coordinate their child’s absence with the school principal and teachers in advance, and obtain approval from their site administrator.
If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact your child's school.

Spring Musical Performance
8th Grade Dance
Greetings 8th grade families! Our upcoming 8th grade dance will take place on May 4, 2024, at Cypress Creek Middle School. The cost of the dance is $25.00 on GoFan from April 19th - May 2nd. Students need to be in good academic standing and have less than two level 2 referrals to participate. The 8th grade dance will be catered by Vallartaz Restaurant. Students will be served tacos with rice and beans and flautas with rice and beans. We will have desert from Nothing Bunt Cakes!
Parent Volunteer Opportunities for End of the Year 8th Grade Activities
CCMS parents, your time, effort, and presence as a volunteer will make a world of a difference in making our 8th grade events successful! We have many opportunities for you to volunteer and be involved on campus. Even if you can only give an hour of your time, every minute makes a positive impact! If you have any questions please email Holly Zeph at ccmsvolunteers@gmail.com.

Spring Testing Calendar
See below the testing calendar that includes testing dates from now through the end of the school year. Soon, we will be sending out a form to fill out if you know that your student will be missing one or more days of testing this spring.
Please reach out to our testing coordinator, Kaitlyn Robin (krobin@pasco.k12.fl.us), if you have any questions!
2024 - 2025 7th Grade Tdaps
ATTENTION PARENTS OF CURRENT 6TH GRADERS - (7th graders for 2024-2025 school year)
One of the requirements for all 7th graders to attend school is to have the Tdap immunization. Please take your child to your physician or local Health Department for the necessary immunization.
Return the required certificate of immunization (DOH680 form) to the school so we can document it in our records. Submit the documentation as soon as possible to avoid missed class time at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Please contact our School Nurse Rheanna Caselius at rcaseliu@pasco.k12.fl.us if you have any questions.
Impact Counseling Partnership
As the need grows, these free mental health services will increase to support our students. If you are interested in having your student participate, please complete the two consent forms found below and email them to your child's grade level counselor:
6th grade - Kaley Balfour - kbalfour@pasco.k12.fl.us
7th grade - Marc Shanberg - mshanber@pasco.k12.fl.us
8th grade - Tessa Melson - tmelson@pasco.k12.fl.us
It is important to complete these items. Otherwise, most incomplete consents will be viewed as permission granted by the parent or guardian.
