Math:
This week in math we will be taking a district learning assessment. This will not be graded for our gradebook, but the results will be used to compare with other third graders in the district. We will also be teaching our students how to build and maintain a financial budget. Starting Wednesday or Thursday, we will begin our STAAR Review.
Science:
Students will be using websites to complete virtual investigations of the sun, earth, moon. and how they relate to each other.
Social Studies:
Students will be learning about Benjamin Franklin and how he helped to innovate and impact society in his day, as well as its effects on today's society.
Reading:
Students will be working with fiction and non-fiction text to compare and contrast how text features help the readers to decode and find author's meaning and make inferences as to what could or might happen in the rest of the text.
Writing:
Students will continue to research and finish their expository writing pieces. If there are any sentence strips with collected information at home, please make sure to send them back to school with your child. Below is a picture of mine.
