Hi! My book is about a dog who runs away from his abusive owner when an 11 year old boy named Marty finds him and names him Shiloh. His father doesn’t want to keep the dog. “He’s Judd’s dog and Judd’s going to treat him however he wants to! Now we got to return the dog!” Marty’s father would say.
Also, I loved the book because it was very sad and it kept me on the edge of my seat. For example, When Marty was hiding shiloh in a lean on tent, and Shiloh got attacked, I was extremely upset! And when Marty was working for Judd and Judd said he wasn’t going to give Marty the dog, and Marty just kept working, I was confused. This book is a superb book because it keeps me on the edge of my seat.
Furthermore, I might recommend this book to a 3rd, 4th or 5th grader who loves sad books because Shiloh is definitely a VERY sad book. I surely loved it because it is not obvious what is going to happen next. Like, you don’t know if Shiloh is going to get found and killed/abused or if Marty will keep him. That’s what made me want to read more. If you want to find out what happened, READ THE BOOK! I recommend it to ... YOU!
