WHEN COMPARED
When compared to the food pyramid, the Atkins diet doesn't allow many if not any grains or carbs, because the diet is based off of not taking in what they say are "unnecessary" when trying to lose weight. They also limit the number of protein you can have, because yet again, it supposedly doesn't help in the losing of weight.
WHY PEOPLE ARE VULNERABLE
It is possible for a low carb/high fat diet could actually increase weight gain, instead of aiding in the loss of weight. Also, the low carb diet may not work for a lot of people, because not everyone is the same.
LONG TERM HEALTH ISSUES
There are no long term or lifelong health issues with the Atkins diet. Whether or not weight is lost as soon as desired depends, but the diet isn't harmful for long term use.
OTHER STUFFS
They offer a wide variety of frozen food options, in case people aren't sure as to what they should eat while on the diet plan.
