Wise Words
- “Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come without leaving happier.” —Mother Teresa
- “If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.” —Dolly Parton
For a Smile
A: A shadow.
Q: Who is that with a neck and no head, two arms and no hands? What is it?
A: A shirt.
Did you know?
- Unpeeled lemons float, but limes sink.
- To tell the difference between a raw egg and a hard cooked egg, spin it. Hard eggs spin easily. Raw eggs wobble. Now, to clean up the egg spit on the floor with less effort, use salt.
Library Letters
Last week grades 2-5 had a lesson on magnets, went over a nonfiction book about magnets, then had fun applying what they learned through trivia and experiments. The enjoyed making magnets out of metals, designing fishing poles to pick up magnets, built magnet Ferris Wheels, and drew on a magnetic board.
Feel free to ask your student if they remember the three magnet fields. They may use the acronym PET to help jog their memory!
Happy Reading!

Technology Awareness
Technology is a wonderful gift for student growth. Replacement/repair of abused items takes away from learning, instruction, and others.
For Awareness:
Usual culprits & possible solutions:
*Playing around: socializing is great, however please be mindful of the area around you. Bumping, pushing, and falling are not good for students or Chromebooks.
*Stepping on devices in cafeteria, classroom, bleachers, band, locker rooms and bus: If possible, don't put them on the ground. If not, place them close to you and out of the path of others. Be mindful of items on the floor, desks, and seats.
*Holding devices by the screen will cause screen damage. Never pick up and hold the Chromebook by the screen.
*Forgetting to bring devices to school: Establish a routine and place the Chromebook, calculator, and borrowed school items in the same safe place when done with it for the day.
Students need to bring their Chromebook and calculator to school every day!
