1) The Great Conjunction: Don't miss this once in 800 yrs Astronomical Event-TONIGHT!!
December 21st, also called the Winter Solstice, an amazing event will happen in the night sky that has not occurred for 800 years and will not occur again for another 400 years. This event is called The Great Conjunction. The Great Conjunction is when the planets, Jupiter and Saturn will be aligned, which means they are in a straight line, and they will appear very close in the sky. It's best to view it right after sunset.
Here's a video that tells you how to see it
Here's an article from Earth Sky that includes a picture of what to look for
Here's an article from NPR with background information
2) K-12 DIY Vacation Coding Camp! In the past two weeks, many of your students have participated in the Hour of Code. If you look on the worldwide participant map, you will see the King School! So many students enjoyed this activity, that we'll be sending out a newsletter with information about how you can sign your student up for follow up coding courses at all levels. Questions? Need more info? Feel free to reach out to pfeynman@framingham.k12.ma.us
