The Shoally Creek Elementary Tweet
Weekly Update for August 5, 2020
"Meet the Teacher" Event is August 13, 2020 (8:00 am - 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm)
This year’s “Meet the Teacher” event at Shoally Creek Elementary is going to be a little different! We want to make this an exciting time for our teachers, students, and parents, while also keeping everyone healthy and safe!
We will be doing a blended approach to our “Meet the Teacher” event this year, with a drive-thru component, virtual meetings, and some face-to-face meetings! The event will take place on Thursday, August 13 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm at the school. We will need all 5K - 4 grade families to visit the school on this day in order to finalize transportation, provide any missing registration documents, receive necessary car tags, register for Jays Beyond the Bell after school program (if desired), complete cafeteria accounts, provide/complete paperwork for the school nurse, and pay school fees.
All of this MUST be completed BEFORE students will be able to start school the week of August 17, and this is the day to do it! And, you will be able to do it from the comfort of your own car...via our drive-thru service at the front of our school!!! How convenient and easy!!!
Our 5K students, as well as new to SCES students in grades 1 - 4, will be contacted by their teacher to schedule a brief face-to-face meeting. Our returning students in grades 1 - 4 will be contacted by their teacher to schedule a virtual meeting.
We realize that our "Meet the Teacher" event is taking on a different look this year, but we hope that everyone will understand our commitment to the safety of our SCES Family!
