Teacher Led PD
For our staff meetings on May 1st and May 8th we are inviting you to lead. The leadership team is positive that you are tired of listening to us talk.
AND we are equally sure that you are the experts with great practices to share.
All teachers and classified staff are invited to lead a 30-minute session about something you do that helps students succeed.
What does note-taking look like in your class? --- Take us through the process.
What collaboration structures work for Magee students? --- Give us something to work on to try them out.
How do you deescalate angry 12-year-olds? --- Put us through some role plays.
What does it sound like to learn Spanish at Magee? --- Take us out of our comfort zone.
What works to get most of your students to class on time? --- The rest of us would love to know.
What are students willing to write about? --- Guide us through a composition.
What does scientific inquiry look like in science at Magee? --- Invite us to the labs and do an experiment.
How do you take questions from basic to rigorous? --- Stretch our brains with a Socratic Seminar.
What art techniques do our students learn? --- Adult like art too!
These are a few ideas and by no means a limiting list. Please email the topic you would like to share to Jessica Vargas, CSP

If your child is interested, please reach out to the Computer Skills teacher Ms. Marshall or the school counselor, Ms. Coleman.

MTSS Plans
Reminder: Have Work Available for Suspended Students
You'll receive an email from administrator or office personnel that a student has been suspended.
You are required to provide work. Referring a student to Canvas is acceptable. Assigning iReady as the sole work is not sufficient, please provide work and assignments of substance.
If you are doing an in-class project that a student cannot complete because they are not in class, you must provide an alternate assignment.
This is not an "opt-in" service, it is a mandatory requirement of you.
MTSS Notes
