This week we are enjoying a special collection of 18 nutcrackers.
Also, we are learning about a story, " The Nutcracker and the Mouse King", written by E. T. A. Hoffmann. The library doesn't have it in the hardback format.
However, we can see it in the electronic format in black and white only on an i pad connected to a computer that is connected to a projector. We can also see a version of it in paperback format.

We continue to enjoy the special collection of nutcrackers in the library.
The original story wasn't exactly for children and wasn't in color. On the i pad, we saw a newer ebook version that is in color. First, the story was written. Then, years later music was written by Peter Tchaikovsky, a Russian composer. Dances were added to go with the music and the story became a ballet. Today, many people all over the world go to see the ballet at Christmas time.

Today is the last day of school before winter break. Some other stories about this holiday season are shown here.
We toured around the library to enjoy the sights and sounds of the season.
One day this week an electric train arrived for us to enjoy. Also, the recycled, reuse and reduce area has a Christmas tree made from FLM tissue paper rollers.
