Cuban Missle Crisis
The Cuban Missile Crisis was caused because the United States did not agree with the Soviet Union deploying bombs in Cuba and that they had nuclear bombs near Florida's shore. Also at the time they did not agree with Cuba being a communist country. The United States then sent troops into Cuba to spy on them. Once Fidel Castro (communist leader of Cuba) figured it out, he cut off Cuba’s access to the outside world completely.
Communism
The citizens of Cuba have very little role in the government because it is a dictatorship. They also don't have anything to vote (the government doesn't give them anything to vote about).

Challenges that the refugees have to face are having to get used to the new culture of living in Clarkston, Georgia have to learn how to start businesses ,get jobs, and be able to start their new lives to be successful.
Having a city with a concentrated refugee population is an asset. It helps the refugees socially. When they all live together they have more of a chance and can relate with others because they are all going through the same thing of being refugees. It also helps Georgia economically because the population grows and becomes more diverse. With a higher population, the government will get more money through taxes and products bought.Satistics
