One School One Book
Your child should have received a copy of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This is the book we are reading as a school. This book is for families to enjoy. The book will not be read in school. The hope is that families can read the book together. A packet was sent home with some activities/questions. If your child completes the activity book and returns in to school by Friday, May 17th they will receive a treat.
Field Day Volunteers Needed
Oxford will host our annual field day on Friday, May 24th. We are in need of parent volunteers. We are looking for volunteers for the full day or 1/2 day. Please fill out the form attached and return in to Coach K if you are interested. Thank you in advance for your help.
Kindergarten Registration
Students new to the District need to register for Kindergarten as soon as possible. Please don't wait to register until August. It will help us to prepare for the school year next year. If you are registered this will ensure that you receive communication from the school and the District ASAP. If your child is already registered for PreK this year then they will automatically registered for Kindergarten. To begin the online registration process please click on the QR code above.
Summer Reading Camp Opportunity
My name is Betsy Hockey, and along with a fabulous team at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Cleveland Heights, have worked together to offer a week-long overnight camp to help children finishing 3rd or 4th grade with their reading skills. This will be our 13th year providing this cost-free camp, where campers spend the mornings in small group reading-based classes, and afternoons and evenings doing traditional camp activities.
We are recruiting campers who would benefit from this setting, and are asking for your support in identifying potential campers. Please see the attached information forms for families and feel free to students or their parents. We only have spaces for 24 campers and applications have already been received!
Thank you so much for your support of this program. Please feel free to contact me at EHockeyPT@aol.com or 216-650-0388 if you have any questions!
A former camper reached out to us recently with the following testimony:

One School-One Book
We will be reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as a building. The book should be read at home with your child. We will send home weekly activities that you can complete and turn back into school. We will raffle off a fun basket candy and prizes for the students that complete and turn in the most work. The book reading will run from April 9-May 3.

CHUH Communication Plan
The District has adopted a plan for communications with persons with disabilities, which is available at the following link: Communication Plan. The plan establishes procedures to ensure that the District's communications with persons with disabilities, including applicants, participants, members of the public, and companions with disabilities, are as effective as its communications with others.
