5th Grade eLearning
Week of April 27th
We seem to have a well-working system!
As of right now, we have been able to get very close to 100% of the kids in 5th grade engaged in learning! That is a HUGE accomplishment for us! Thank you for everything you are doing at home to encourage the participation. We have seen almost every kid's face on Zoom and it makes us so incredibly happy! Please continue to encourage the participation as the weeks go on. It will get harder as the weather gets nicer and the kids (and parents) get worn out! You are all doing an amazing job, so take it easy on yourself! Remember, you did not sign up to be your child's teacher! If we can help motivate your child in any way, please reach out to us and we will meet with them!
We have created another week of daily game boards for the children to use as a guide for learning. The students DO NOT have to complete every activity, every day! They should work at their own pace!
You will see the game boards attached here and there will be a copy for each student in Google Classroom Monday morning. We will talk about the game board during our Zoom call!
If you have the printed packets and/or do not have regular access to the internet or enough devices for your kids to share, please have the students work from the packet daily.
School Supplies and Student Belongings
Families will be able to pick up student school supplies and personal belongings during the following days/times:
Wednesday, May 13
- 9-10am: Last name A-B
- 10-11am: C-D
- 11am-12pm: E-G
- 1-2pm: H-K
- 2-3pm: L-M
Thursday, May 14
- 9-10am: Last name N-P
- 10-11am: Q-Sl
- 11am-12pm: Sm-V
- 1-2pm: W-Z
We strongly urge you to only attend pick-up during your assigned time. Arriving at a different time may cause congestion and delay.
All items will be bagged and labeled with the student’s name. When arriving at your school to pick up your student’s belongings, please follow the same procedure as you do for meal and packet pick-up. Please drive to the school if at all possible, and do not exit your vehicle. The bag will be placed in your trunk for you.
Any student medications still at school will also be returned at this time. Look for communication from your school Health Aide with more information.
CHANGE IN ZOOM TIMES!
PLEASE NOTIFY YOUR CHILD OF THIS CHANGE AND SPREAD THE WORD!
Just a heads up, we may not be as readily available these two mornings to answer questions or respond to emails. Please be patient with us! :)
