CHARACTER TRAIT FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL:
WELCOME TO YOUTH TAKEOVER & BRONCO SUNDAY!
SUNDAY SERMON RECAP
"REMEMBER WHERE YOU'RE FROM"
We were blessed to have Pastor KJ Scriven with us. He ministered and told us that one of the most powerful things we can do in our journey is simply remember what God has done.
He gave us these five points to ponder:
1. Jesus made us right with God--Romans 5:6-11
2. Jesus made us friends of God -- Romans 8:15
3. Jesus made us children of God -- Romans 12:2
4. Remember where you're from -- Romans 12:2 and Matthew 7:13-14
5. Don't go with the flow -- Proverbs 14:12 and Romans 10:8b-9

A NOTE OF GRATITUDE!
Special thanks to everyone who participated and led during our very successful Bronco Sunday! From worship and Word in the sanctuary, to the nursery, to the Bronco Sunday fellowship in the fellowship hall, to the “Q and A the Lord’s Way” panel this afternoon, hearts were touched, bellies filled, and souls inspired.
Iyanna Godbolt and Ramie Mack opened the Youth Takeover Service.

CHARACTER TRAIT FOR MAY IS COURTESY
The act of showing of politeness in one's attitude and behavior toward others.
PRAYER FOCUS FOR MAY
Prayer of Thanksgiving that Jesus is victor over Satan and all his evil powers-that he triumphed over them through the cross and resurrection and that God have highly exalted him. Thankful that God has given Jesus a position infinitely superior to all other powers and authorities…a name that stands far above all other names that will ever be used and amazing grace you have enthroned me with him in the heavenly realms. I thank you that I need not strive toward a possible victory, but can live from a position of victory already won. Although Satan is powerful, he cannot prevail against the blood of Jesus. Thank you that Satan must retreat before that name and before your word, the living and powerful sword of the Spirit, and that in the end he will be cast down into everlasting defeat and shame.

MAY CELEBRATION
2024 MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH CHALLENGE!
Greetings,
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. As a way to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month, the Division of Child & Family Wellbeing (DCFW) and the Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Use Services (DMHDDSUS) are inviting you to join the 2024 Mental Health Awareness Month Challenge!
Take time to focus on your mental health, engage in wellness activities and reflect on what mental health means to you. From “Wellness Wednesday” to “Full of Facts Friday,” we challenge each other to complete at-home or in-person mental wellness activities and learn more about mental health diagnoses, disparities, and the many barriers that individuals continue to face in accessing care.
We’re challenging you to learn more about mental wellness and STOP the stigma of diagnosis by finding areas of growth, both personally and professionally. The best part? This will only take a few minutes per day! Remember Our Mental Health Matters!
