Our Promise
Every student in Dallas School District is known by name, strength, and need, and graduates ready for career, college, and community.
Getting Stretched!
My good friend Stretch Armstrong amazed us with his ability to stretch and though we tried, we could never get him to that breaking point. superpower perhaps, 70's toy engineering probably!
I know this year, more than years in the past has and will continue to stretch us. I am aware that the unfamiliar territory we all find ourselves in is difficult. Stretching ourselves personally and professionally can be a really good thing, but have to take care of ourselves in order to realize the benefits of growing through it all.
Our new reality has truly stretched our thinking, has probably shaken our confidence and has had us question our worth at times. I appreciate the honesty of our staff in communicating our fears and struggles during this time. Together we can do great things so let's stay together through this work.
Thank you for hanging in there with me, I know this is and will be a challenging go. You all are appreciated!
Glad you're here!
You are exactly everything that you need to be to meet this moment!👍

Safety
Great first week!
Please follow these safety measure when entering the building👍
- Beginning on August 31st, staff may enter through the multiple doors we typically use. At each entrance, you'll be met with hand sanitizer and a mask if you need one.
- Employees are required to have a face-covering with them at all times while at a DSD worksite and at any DSD sponsored event. Face coverings must be worn by employees working in DSD whenever 6-foot distancing cannot be reliably maintained between individuals, in corridors, restrooms, breakrooms, and common spaces as well as when entering and exiting a building. Face coverings are not required when alone at your desk or seated in a conference room that maintains social distancing.
- At this time, only employees and/or families with appointments are allowed inside the building. No children and/or visitors, please.
