A Message From The Principal
Dear CKS Families,
Blessings abound! I look out my office window and see the amazing play structure and children again playing on the grass field! I’ve walked around the building and have observed math, reading, and history lessons heard music, seen students working quietly while others are working in pairs in science, speaking French, and running. There is so much learning going on! It is good to be reminded of the many blessings that surround us as we approach Thanksgiving. Let us stop and thank God for the wonders that surround us.
I wish all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.
Mrs. Odile Steel

FEAST OF CHRIST THE KING THIS WEEKEND
THANKSGIVING BASKET COMMUNITY PROJECT - ITEMS DUE BY 21ST
All parents should have received information on our Thanksgiving baskets project. Please bring items to CKS no later than November 21st (unless your class requested an earlier time). Thank you for you support of our community.
PARENT SOCIAL - DECEMBER 8th - RSVP
We are very excited to come together at Burlington Beer Company on December 8th. This adult-only event is a great opportunity to spend time together as a community outside of school and meet fellow parents whom we might not always run into.
Please RSVP HERE. The cost will be $5/attendee and includes hors d'oeuvres and there will be a cash/credit bar. On the RSVP form, there is also a survey to gauge interest in a "Pizza and Movie" childcare opportunity at CKS during the event.
HONORING SERVICE MEMEBERS PROJECT
5th ANNUAL CKS KIDS ONLY CHRISTMAS SHOP - DECEMBER 19th
The 5th Annual CKS Kids-Only Christmas Shop is coming soon! On Monday, December 19th, CKS students will get an opportunity to shop for their families from items donated by you, our friends, and supporters. Students will be able to purchase items from 25 cents, 50 cents, $1, and $2 tables during the school day. Students are only allowed to purchase one item per person for their immediate family (Dad, Mom, siblings).
We are collecting items from Monday, November 28th through Friday, December 16th.
We are looking for "white elephants," garage sale-type items that you are ready to discard but may be a treasure to someone else, or items purchased new. We accept all kinds of things; small toys, new pens, pencils, markers, coloring books, new containers of play-doh, cookbooks, complete games, household items, seasonal decorations and ornaments, tools, jewelry, stationery, homemade gifts, etc. We ask that you do not donate clothing, very large items, or stuffed animals, and all items are in great condition. We are asking each family to donate between 3-5 items. The money collected from this event will be donated to Toys for Kids.
Your donated items can be dropped off in the main office at CKS now until Friday, December 16th. *We are also seeking gift bags, small jewelry-style boxes, tissue paper, present labels, and tape so we can send children home with gifts ready to give.
Thank you in advance for your donations and for supporting the Christ the King School community. We are looking forward to this awesome event! If you have any questions about this event, please email jtomkowicz@cksvt.org or jcootey@cksvt.org.
