Third Grade Strings
The Webster Groves School District is proud to offer after school violin classes that are open to all third grade students. Our goal is to introduce students to the world of instrumental music in a way that elevates self esteem and encourages a life long interest in the arts. This program is most beneficial for students who want to continue playing a string instrument through high school and possibly into their college years. The classes are free; the only cost for parents is the violin rental which is approximately $200 for the entire school year. This year the third grade class will meet on the days at times below. Classes will begin on Monday, November 2nd for M/W Classes or November 3rd for T/TH classes. Please verify that your child is available for both weekly class times before applying.
There are a few steps to enroll your child. On Monday, September 7th beginning at 8:00 a.m., go online to https://bit.ly/3kgaABm to register your child. There will also be a link to this form on Mr. Reichold’s school’s website and Twitter Page @MrReicholdMusic. Class sizes are limited to 18 children, and will be filled in the order in which your online form is received. If we have a significant amount more than 18, we will potentially have two classes at that school. All registering must be done on the website above; I cannot accept emailed registrations. If you are one of the first 18 to register, you will be invited attend our informational meeting in the WGHS Auditorium on Thursday, November 5th at 6:30 pm. in the auditorium. Your child is welcome and encouraged to attend as well. Remember, registration begins Monday, September 7th at 8:00 am. and I anticipate it filling up quickly.
