Foskett Ranch Elementary Newsletter
September 26, 2018
NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL...
We have received positive feedback about our new newsletter. It is exciting to see that last week's newsletter has more than 300 views. Thank you for taking the time to check the information out each week.
During the school year your family may get the opportunity to travel. Please remember that the state does allow for a student to get attendance credit (it also helps the school with the data percentages that are reported to the state as well as funds for the district) on what is called a travel study. There are a couple of important requirements to remember - 1) The state of CA requires a minimum of five days to participate in a travel study, 2) The office needs you to complete the travel study request five days in advance per our district policy. It is great to inform the teacher, please cc Michelle in the office @ msalli-brown@wpusd.org so she can help the teacher and you complete the paperwork. You can also contact Chareen (our new secretary) or me if you have specific questions about enrolling in travel study.
Please remember to ask your child(ren) to identify a key detail about the anti-bullying assembly we attended on Monday. What were the signs of bullying? How did the bystanders contribute or add to what the bully did? What were some ways that the performers dealt with the bully?
Next Tuesday students will be participating Safety Day thanks to the two Kiwanis clubs in Lincoln.
