How does Brazil's Environment shape its economy ? RESOURCES/ECONAMY
Its environment shapes its economy because it can utilize resources from the rain is forest. The rain forest is used foe mining ore (bauxite) , logging trees , and farming. In Brazil's Highlands there is fertile rich soil which helps grow coffee. Brazil is the leading coffee producer than any other country.
Who were the first people to live in Brazil . Explain what they grew ? HISTORY
The first people to live in Brazil were the Tupians . When the Portuguese came most Tupians died. The grew cassava, sweet potatoes, maize, beans, peanuts, and cotton. Mostly all Tupians are farmers.
What holidays do Brazilians celebrate? CULTURE
Most Brazilians are Roman Catholic and celebrate Christmas and Easter. Brazilians also celebrate Carnival which is a holiday that lasts for 40 days and it is before lent, lent is a holiday where you cant eat meat. Carnival involves floats, parades, and costumes. Carnival means "Farwell to the Flesh". Another Brazilian holiday is Children's Holiday. Children's Holiday is when kids have no school and recieve gifts from their parents and is celebrated on October 12th. Those are some of the holidays Brazilians celebrate.
Where is the Amazon Basin and how did it form?
The Amazon Basin is in Brazil. It was formed from the movement of tectonic plates (Nazca and American plates). The water in the Atlantic Ocean shifts one plate under the other. Water ran off the Andes mountains and formed the Amazon River. Amazon lake waters found an escape point and flowed eastwards. The entire formation of the basin took place millions of years ago.
