Signing Out of School
Underclassmen will still need to be signed out by a parent/guardian in the front office. A driver's license will need to be presented to sign out a student.
Juniors and seniors who have parking permits will need to bring in a note from a parent/guardian BEFORE school. Our secretary, Ms. Garcia will first verify with Officer Echols that the student has a parking permit and then call the parent/guardian listed on the student's record to ask for identifying information in order to verify the note.
Students will not be permitted to leave campus with other student drivers during the day.
Fro questions, please contact our front office.

Moon Dimes
NHS is proud to announce that the fundraiser Moon Dimes will be taking place on April 29th in the cafeteria, from 6:00-8:00pm. Confused about the title? Moon Dimes is a HCHS tradition that has spanned many years, and is nearly as old as the Drama Club when it was first established in 1988 as a small, "coffee-shop" type environment for students to express creativity (Starbucks, MoonDimes...get it??) Over time, it absorbed the NHS Talent Show and evolved into an open mic night where students have the chance to perform various skills such as poetry performance, music performance, and skits. This event inspired First Friday, which we still enjoy at HCHS to this day!
This year, Moon Dimes will act as the NHS scholarship fundraiser. If you love First Friday but hate that A and B Day have separate performances, Moon Dimes is for you! It is the one chance to have ALL students combined in one place to enjoy the many talents of our HCHS student body. So sign up today using the provided QR code! We look forward to celebrating you :)
Dual Credit Reminders for 9-11 Grade Parents,
Dual Credit enrollment has been underway since October 2021. Emails and newsletters have been sent out with deadlines and helpful documents in order to complete the application process. Please ensure that your child has completed the necessary steps in order to enroll in dual credit courses for next year. The TSIA2 exam needs to be taken for all course selections, unless your child's PSAT scores exempt them. This is their responsibility to make sure they have registered for the exam. Please review the attached documents to confirm all steps have been completed. Questions? Contact Ms. Orozco at 210-397-5440.
