Registration for Next Year is Due by 4pm on Monday
Take advantage of the early bird discount! Getting all the registrations in on time saves our staff many many hours over the summer trying to contact families. We are well into planning for the upcoming school year, and getting registrations in early is a HUGE help in our planning process for everything from transportation to class scheduling.
If you are unable to get the registration packet completed and turned in for any reason, please contact the office to make arrangements. We will do all we can to make this process as easy as possible! Please do all you can to help us make it smooth!

Educator and Parent Involvement Connection
Throughout this school year, a Parent Involvement Committee has worked to create one extraordinary parent group (EPIC) by combining the Millburn PTO and Millburn Education Foundation. The PTO and Foundation are still completing their 2018/19 school year tasks and will be functioning as two organizations through June 30th. Please contact the current PTO or Foundation boards if you have any questions or concerns regarding the 2018/19 school year.
Below is a timeline of events that have occurred for EPIC-Educator and Parent Involvement Connection
May 21- Millburn PTO General Assembly voted 20 to 1 to dissolve
June 3 - First elections for the new EPIC Board were held. Thank you to all who came out to vote!

June 4- Millburn Education Foundation approved the new bylaws for EPIC.
July 1- EPIC will begin. Over summer break, communication venues (i.e. website, emails, facebook page, etc.)will be updated. In the meantime, if you have any questions, comments or concerns or want to find out how you can be involved with EPIC please contact us at millburnEPIC@gmail.com

Millburn PTO End of Year Wrap Up
This has been a fantastic year at Millburn, and we would like to sincerely thank everyone for their unwavering support throughout this school year!
With your help we were able to raise $39,834.48.
Check out what we were able to accomplish because of our wonderful members!
• School Supply Kits and Locker Works were provided for purchase to many of our students.
• Assemblies were held at both MES and MMS. Dr. Cool and Pride and Sweatshop entertainment at MES and Camfel at MMS. The Rock Garden was also completed at MES which involved every elementary student painting a rock to beautify the serenity garden.
• Activity Night was held at MMS three times this year with fun themes such as bingo night, winter wonderland and disco night giving our middle school students a place to gather for fun, games, snacks and music.
• Family Fun Night was held at MES on two nights with a live animal presentation and a magic show allowing the students to learn magic tricks.
• Halloween and Valentines holiday celebrations were held at MES providing 30 classrooms with holiday fun, crafts and games. At MMS with a DJ, Bingo and photo booth fun!
• Staff Appreciation Committee hosted periodic dessert raffles donating to 190 staff members. Staff luncheons were also sponsored throughout the school year as well as a pie day to celebrate pi day. Special recognition went to all of our teachers during appreciation week.
• District Wide Talent Show took place at MMS with 25 acts and 30 students performing.
• 8th Grade Farewell Celebration was planned and sponsored to honor our graduating 8th grade students and their parents.
• SpiritWear Committee held 3 online sales throughout the year and started off the year with on-hand inventory of items for purchase. We also actively used the PTO website to sell SpiritWear.
• Fall Fest took place in mid-September at MES and raised $2,309.80.
• Fall and Spring Book Fairs were held at MES and MMS. Both Scholastic and Follett publishers were featured.
• Fall and Spring Kids Resale was held and raised over $12,367.40.
• School portraits were provided for all students and raised $3,216.21 for the district.
• Kidstuff coupon book sale raised $2,180.47 in funds.
• Community partners such as MOD Pizza, Oberweis Dairy and Box Tops have donated $2,643.10 to the district so far this year.
• Millburn Family Fun Run brought out over 250 runners and raised $3,508.04 for our school.
• World’s Finest Chocolate raised over $5,030.11 in revenue.
• Student Enhancement Funds of $20,062.08 were donated by the PTO to all grades throughout the district to help fund: End of year picnics, Field trips to Racine and Milwaukee County Zoo, kindergarten ceramic tea cup painting, Animal Gardens, Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre, Milwaukee Public Museum, Volo Bog, Patch 22, Christian Arts Auditorium, The Grove for a presentation on pioneer life, Kenosha Civil War Museum, Camp Timberlee, Holocaust Museum, Springfield trip, and various in-house presentations/projects.
• New “Smart” Fundraising earned us a little over $750 with the Gift card sales during the holidays as well as the crafting day in April.
• PTO approved over $8,656.24 in funds throughout the school year for Special Requests including new theatre/drama equipment, George Vlasis books purchased for the media center, sled purchased for 6th grade Iditarod, 8 SpiritWear t-shirts purchased for PBIS raffle at MES, Caudill books purchased for MMS, SEF overages for both 3rd grade for underground railroad book purchase and kindergarten for Patch22 as well as contributing to the staff kick-off picnic and end of year/retirement party.
It has been a great year and certainly a busy one. Thank you for all you do to keep Millburn District 24 exceptional! Have a fantastic summer and we look forward to an EPIC school year in 2019-2020!
