Robert Frost Biography
Robert Frost was a famous poet, born in San Francisco on March 26, 1874. At the age of 11 his father passed away from tuberculosis. That is when his mother, sister and him all moved across the country to Massachusetts. He only attended 1 semester at Dartmouth college then returns home to works on various jobs. Frost's first published poem, "My Butterfly: An Elegy," appeared in the New York Independent. He received fifteen dollars for his work. Frost marries Elinor Miriam. One year later they had there first son named Elliott. Enrolls at Harvard college where he studies literal arts, then shortly after he drops out before he can get a degree. 1906 Frost becomes an english teacher at Pinkerton Academy and pursues that for 5 years. 1913 "A Boys Will," his first book of poetry was published in England. The book does not appear in America until 2 years later. Just a year later his second poetry book was published. This same year he moved back to America from England. Robert Frost wins his first Pulitzer Prize for the poetry collection New Hampshire.Which includes his famous poem "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening." Wins his second Pulitzer Prize in 1931 for his book Collected Poems. Roberts sixth child was born just years before Elinor Frost, the poet's wife was 42 years when she passed at the age of 65 from a heart attack. A year later he won a poetry award from Harvard. 1940 Carol frost commits suicide, this will be his 3rd kid out of six that has passed. Frost wins his fourth and final Pulitzer Prize for the poetry collection A Witness Tree. 1963 Robert died at the age of 88. Robert frost won 22 awards for his writing and won many more after he passed.

his impact can clearly be seen all over the world. People loved his poetry because he carried his words like no one else. He used a different way of speaking to get you hooked and want to read more. Frost did not gain fame that goes along with his name, until the early 1920's. During the 1920s this is when he really began to get noticed. Frost often used nature for his inspiration. People even memorized his poems and often other writers used them for inspiration.
