Three Schools, Many Books, One Community
Dear Enfield Families,
Welcome to our “Three Schools, MANY BOOKS, One Community” project! The purpose of this activity is to encourage families to read together. Throughout the next few weeks, you will be given the opportunity to model and share in the love of reading with your child. This year we opted for a Covid-19-Friendly Reading Calendar with many options for each family. We hope that you will gather as a family and enjoy all the excitement these genres/choices have to offer.
This year we selected the month of May because May 3rd-9th is National Children’s Book Week. The theme this year is “Reading is a Superpower!”
Your child will get a calendar to keep at home to track the days you read and the types of books you choose. Although the calendar follows the month of May, your child is encouraged to complete daily activities as he/she chooses. This is meant to be a fun and exciting time of reading enjoyment for your family.
As a celebration of this project, on Friday, May 28th, we will be doing a school wide Dress Up as Your Favorite Book Character Day! Your child can dress up as one of his/her favorite book characters.
We thank you for participating with us and bringing the joy of reading into your homes.
Sincerely,
Christine Turcotte-White, Heidi Borski, Melanie Evans -Henry Barnard School
Taryn Jennings, Linda Paradise-Enfield Street School
Danielle Klapproth, Donna Schroyer -Hazardville Memorial School

Car Pick Up/Drop Off
- Please stay in your vehicle.
- Have your child enter and exit from the passenger side of the car so they don't have to cross between vehicles.
- Be sure your placard is visible to all staff members.
- If you are first in the car line, do not move your vehicle until a staff member tells you it it safe to move.
Many of you stated your child would be riding the bus. We strongly encourage you to do so. All students are assigned to a bus so if you decide to put your child back on the bus, check in with the office if you don't have transportation information. Again, thank you for your patience and cooperation.
