Our pockets are filled with poems!
3rd-5th graders celebrated Poetry Month by sharing poems through Poetry Snaps. We posted our snaps in the SeeSaw app. We shared connections, our favorite parts of poems, and even student written poems!
Kindergarteners also did movements as we read a poem about Apple Trees, finger painted an Apple Tree, then shared our illustration and poem with our families.
1st Graders looked at similes in poems and wrote a Rainbow poem where they described the colors. For example, students would write "the rainbow is as blue as the sky" or "the rainbow is as purple as grapes."
2nd Graders wrote their own version of a Lorax poem in honor of both Poetry Month and Earth Week.
