Life Principle: empathy - capacity for participating in another's feelings or ideas
Quote: "Empathy is seeing with the eyes of another, listening with the ears of another and feeling with the heart of another" Alfred Adler
Creekside Forest Creed
I am proud to be a Creekside Forest Cougar.
I come to school each day respecting my teachers,
my classmates, and myself.
I am responsible for my choices and their results.
I care for others with all my heart.
Never quitting is my #1 tool;
I am a leader at the #1 school.
Go CREEKSIDE!
Please be encouraged to discuss with your child what the quote and life principle means to them and help make life connections to reinforce.

Writing: This week, we will do a narrative "quick write" during class telling of a time we learned a lesson. Then, we will jump back in to expository writing, thinking of rich details using How and Why Cafe and six W's. In grammar, we will be learning all about Comparative and Superlative adjectives and applying them to our writing. Lastly, we are hitting the ground running with revise/editing. The kids are rocking this skill, and we will continue to practice, practice, practice to find those mistakes and improve writing.
