IOWA Assessment Testing (Sept. 23 - Sept. 27)
This upcoming week will be a very important week for the entire school. Your child(ren) will be taking the IOWA Assessment (previously known as ITBS). This is a standardized test and allows the teachers to see how your child(ren) are doing in his/her important academic areas. These academic areas include: Vocabulary, Reading, Language, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, and Science.
The IOWA testing will take place in the morning and students will have classes in the later half of the day. In order for my students to perform well on this test, I will give little to no homework during the testing week.
Parents! Please remember to have your child(ren) eat a healthy breakfast and get a good night's rest each day! I strongly recommend your child(ren) to bring the following each day during the testing week:
- extra set of No. 2 pencils
- pencil sharpener (I have no pencil sharpeners in my class)
- good eraser (sometimes, the eraser on No. 2 pencils don't work well)
- small snack
Let's all work together to have the student try his/her best! Thank you! I am always praying for my students.
