News You Can Use on September 8, 2021
Join us for our Title I Open House and Annual Meeting!
WHERE: Larson Elementary
WHEN: September 10th
TIME: 5:30pm -7:00pm
Parents are invited to see their student’s classrooms, meet the teachers, and hear about our Title 1 Funding.
Due to COVID Protocols, this will be a WALK-THROUGH EVENT. There will not be a schedule to follow, so parents with siblings are free to visit multiple classrooms at their leisure. We are asking that you do not spend more than 15 minutes in the classroom. Masks remain optional for parents and students. Staff may be masked, so please respect their choice.
This is not a conference time. If you need to chat with the teacher, please make an appointment for another time.
Title One information will be presented in the gym. Door Prize Tickets will be handed out in classrooms and winners will be posted on our website and Facebook page Monday, September 13th.
Hope to see you there!
Let's Welcome our New School Counselor!
We are excited to announce that we have a school counselor this year! Aleah Hall is a Mental and Behavioral Health Coordinator for MSBSD. She has been working with children and adolescents since 2008 in schools and non-profit agencies. Aleah will be at Larson Elementary on Wednesdays and Thursdays assisting teachers in their classrooms, having ‘lunch-bunch’ groups, and working with students on building social and emotional skills to use throughout their lifetime. She is a lifelong Alaskan and has lived in the MatSu for over ten years! She loves the Valley and is looking forward to working with your student(s) this year. Please feel free to reach out if you have questions or would like to chat about how she can better support your student. Her office line is 907-352-2312 and her email is aleah.hall@matsuk12.us.
Say Cheese! Picture Day is Coming!
