Congratulations Mustangs!
Congratulations to the Advanced Band and Advanced Orchestra students on their outstanding performances yesterday at the Poway District Music Festival! Both groups received an Excellent rating. The students showed Mustang P.R.I.D.E. at the event.
We are very proud of all of our Mustangs. Thank you for your support of the MBMS Instrumental Music Program.
Mustang Promotion Lawn Sign Pick Up—Friday, April 19th
Attention 8th grade parents! Students or Parents can pick up their 8th Grade Promotion signs with metal stakes on Friday, April19th after school outside the main gate.
Students riding the bus will not be able to take the signs and stakes on the bus. Signs that are not picked up will be placed in the main office the following week for pick up.
If you missed the order deadline, we have 4 non-personalized signs for sale. They will be sold by first come, first serve for $20 cash only.
PRIDE Core Value Lesson - Diversity
Objective: We will explore the meaning of diversity and understand ways to celebrate our differences and similarities.
Essential Question: How can I respect and celebrate the differences in everyone.
Progress Notices
The 6-week grading period ends Friday, April 19th, 2024. Progress reports will be available for viewing in Synergy Friday, April 26th, 2024. For specific questions related to your student’s progress report grades, please contact your student’s teachers.

ASB Talent Show
ASB is excited to host our 3rd annual MBMS Student Talent Show on April 25th and 26th! We are excited to showcase the amazing talents and abilities of our Mustangs. Performances will take place during our single test week lunch on each day. This is a student only event.
Parents, please remember MBMS is a closed campus, as a result, we cannot accommodate parents attending this event during a school day. We appreciate your understanding.
California Assessment of Student Performance & Progress (CAASPP)
CAASPP Testing begins Monday, April 22nd.
- The CAASPP test is taken online, please have your student’s Chromebook charged and ready to go every morning.
- Please remember to bring a headset or earphones to support with audio.
- Next, absolutely no personal electronics (cell phones, smart watches, etc.) may be out or used during the testing time period. Please power down and store these items in your backpack.

The Meadowbrook PTSA is now recruiting new board members for the 2024-2025 school year. There are several positions open, with varying time commitments, and to match any interest. This is a great way to learn more about the Meadowbrook community, meet other parents and to give back. Please consider volunteering. The open positions include the role of PTSA President, Treasurer, Auditor and more! ATTENDANCE HOTLINE: To report an Absence, Tardy or Student Leaving Early…Call our Attendance Hotline at (858) 679-2610. It’s available 24/7. Leave the information needed and attendance will be updated.
STUDENTS LEAVING EARLY?
If your student is leaving early, please call our Attendance Hotline at (858) 679-2610 and Press 2 for Early Release. This will allow our Attendance office to prepare a student pass in advance. When you arrive, enter the main office and provide a photo ID. Only authorized parents or guardians will be allowed to pick up students. If a student is in band or P.E., this process can take up to 15 minutes. Please be patient and plan accordingly.

Auditions are for 8th grade students who are planning on attending Poway High School.
Meadowbrook Education Foundation Donation Drive
The Meadowbrook Educational Foundation is making a difference on campus. So far this year we have supported the Science Department with a new curriculum, the Arts Department will receive a new kiln for their ceramics program and the Music Department will receive a new bass drum.
We have had over 100 families participate in our donation drive and 100% of your donation goes back to the school. To help us continue to support our school, click here

Item Drop Off Policy
Meadowbrook is dedicated to the instructional time of every student. Please be conscious and plan ahead with your student daily.
No personal items will be delivered to the classroom.
PE Clothes: clean loaner clothes are available.
Food & Water: free breakfast and lunch is provided daily.
Textbooks: your child has access to the classroom set.
Thank you for your cooperation in protecting the instructional time at MBMS.
